I am not sure the obsession with novels about the Amish. Yet I find myself continuing to read them!
Sarah's Garden is about a young Amish girl with a God given talent to garden. While working her family's roadside vegetable stand she meets and falls in love with the new town vet who has moved in next door. Predictiably she struggles with her values and her faith as their love blossoms and grows.
Yes, it is a typical love story and yes you know from page one how it will turn out. But it is a delightful summer read and you still can't put it down. I suggest you make a glass of fresh lemondae, sit under a big shade tree and spend a hot summer afternoon reading.
